eHound is part of the listed BlueFreeway Group (ASX:BLU), and is a specialist in digital customer contact. We have developed a web-based software platform to allow multi-site retailers and brands to manage and deliver their location information to consumers. eHound is unique in its ability to ‘repurpose’ data across multiple digital channels, including the Internet, voice-based applications, wireless devices and search brands.

WHY EHOUND?

Ten years ago media consumption revolved around the “mass” media of TV, radio and print, and consumer search activity centred on directory products such as the Yellow Pages. Multi-site retailers could also rely on 13 numbers to direct customers to their nearest store because all calls were being directed through the local telephone exchange.

Today the marketing and telecommunications landscape is radically different. Media consumption has fragmented across various digital channels, including the Internet and email, and search activity has migrated away from incumbents to new online brands such as Google, Yahoo and ninemsn. As a consequence location information needs to be delivered over multiple channels, including traditional IVR services (13, 1300, 1800), website store locators and increasingly wireless devices.

At the same time 4,000 Australian households per week are discarding their landline in favour of capped mobile plans. In the case of call from a mobile phone, 13 numbers do not work correctly because the calls are not being directed through the local exchange.
