Welcome to the first eHound Newsletter for 2006. It has been an exciting start to the year for us, with the addition of new clients, new services and a fresh new look for our website.
eHound Welcomes Cashcard and ATM Search
This month has seen the launch of an SMS-based ATM search facility for Cashcard, Australia's largest non-bank provider of ATM management services. Cashcard is part of the First Data group of companies, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment services. Commenting on the launch Glynis Peterson, Senior Manager Marketing and Communications, First Data International said: "We are pleased to be part of this revolution in mobile marketing, and to be able to provide our customers with the search results they need, when and where they need them."
Over coming months eHound looks forward to expanding this service to include additional ATM data.
New Website and Launch of White Paper
This week also saw the launch of our new website, which has been designed to better reflect the expansion of our services to include not only SMS but also Internet and voice-based communication channels.
To mark the occasion and promote informed discussion about customer contact - and wireless location services in particular - eHound has also issued a discussion paper entitled Strategic Customer Contact.
Commenting on the White Paper, Ashley Porter, Managing Director of eHound, said: "In the last ten years the Internet has unlocked enormous value from within the travel industry, by using technology to connect consumers to services more efficiently. Wireless search activity has the potential to do the same for the retail industry - by connecting consumers to products and services in a much more personalised way.
However as consumer search activity becomes more sophisticated, response rates for retail marketing campaigns may be affected, as consumers qualify their response to a call-to-action with search activity based on location, price and brand availability.
Retail marketing professionals need to be aware of these trends and be prepared to adjust their strategies accordingly."

We look forward to bringing you regular updates throughout the year, but if you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact me directly at monique@ehound.com.au.
Kind Regards
